Commax Ventures Co., Ltd. (CEO Woo-seok Byun) announced that participating teams of the ‘K-Global Accelerator Development Program’ (program name: Venturers Class 2020), which supports overseas expansion and investment for startups in the information and communications technology (ICT) sector, took part in a Global Demo Day to attract global investors.

The ‘Venturers Class Global Demo Day,’ held at 3:00 p.m. on the 11th at the event hall on the first floor of the Commax Ventures Tipstown Center in Gangnam, Seoul, was attended by the CEOs of Allvoice, WARP, MedInTech, Blackwidow, Insizer, Nubylab, Kangsters, and Nature Mobility, who introduced their companies and participated in a Q&A session. Reflecting the global nature of the demo day, all sessions were conducted in English.

The participating companies were those enrolled in Venturers Class 2020, which runs through the 30th. Over approximately five months, they received company-specific diagnostic mentoring, customized scale-up mentoring and training, investment capability enhancement coaching and seminars, as well as overseas programs and IR/demo day opportunities.

On the day, Commax Ventures introduced the presenters, stating, “Over the past five months, Venturers has worked with the eight teams you see today to prepare fact sheets, IR decks, and presentation skills required for outstanding Korean AI and ICT startups to enter overseas markets. We have also engaged with investors and business partners from the United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Silicon Valley through mentoring sessions and demo days.”

The company added, “Even after the completion of the Venturers Class 2020 Global Program, we plan to continue supporting connections with domestic and international investors as well as overseas companies.”

Woo-seok Byun, CEO of Commax Ventures, said in an interview with reporters at the event, “This event is focused on helping startups clearly organize and present their business plans and meet investors.”
He continued, “Through this program, we supported startups so they can confidently present their businesses and companies in English,” adding that the company aims to continue providing support and opportunities to help startups generate revenue and meet investors in the future.

Beginning with a presentation by Shin-sung Oh, CEO of Allvoice, the startup CEOs captured the attention of global investors with the English proficiency and presentation skills they had honed over time.

Allvoice operates a platform that connects voice actors at reasonable prices and announced that it is preparing to introduce a real-time dubbing system that allows users to review and revise dubbing instantly online.

Next, Won-seok Choi, CEO of WARP, introduced the company’s development of AI-based audio mastering technology designed to make high-cost audio mastering easily accessible to anyone.

Chi-won Lee, CEO of MedInTech, explained that while developing AI-based medical endoscopes for screening, the company is addressing the limitations of existing endoscopes by motorizing conventional endoscope scopes and integrating artificial intelligence algorithms.

Jae-ryong Kang, CEO of Blackwidow, introduced a product that embeds a temperature sensor in pet registration chips, enabling regular monitoring of pets’ body temperature. He noted that by combining temperature data with activity levels, the product can predict early-stage diseases and has strong growth potential through expansion into preventive systems and various healthcare services.

Seung-ho Yang, CEO of Insizer, stated that the company is a big data analytics startup aiming to become a technology firm capable of performing text analysis better than any company worldwide and converting it into revenue. He explained that Insizer is expanding its business by developing and launching services such as daily analysis and summarization of more than 20,000 global news items, contract risk management solutions, and AI-based financial algorithm funds.

Dae-hoon Kim, CEO of Nubylab, introduced the company’s AI food scanner, stating that it aims to provide personalized healthcare and eco-friendly kitchen solutions by datafying everything people eat—anytime, anywhere—not only in cafeterias but also in restaurants and homes. He added that the goal is to offer life-stage–tailored solutions from infancy to old age while minimizing food waste.

Kang Kim, CEO of Kangsters, presented a wheelchair cleaner currently under development, designed to allow wheelchair users to enter a building directly, clean the wheelchair at the entrance, and proceed indoors—much like people who remove their shoes before entering a home.

Ju-sang Lee, CEO of Nature Mobility, explained that the company aims to build an integrated platform for all modes of personal transportation, starting with car rentals and expanding into taxis, designated drivers, combined taxi/driver services, and logistics systems.

Meanwhile, the ‘K-Global Accelerator Development Program’ is an initiative in which the Ministry of Science and ICT annually selects private accelerators and entrusts them with discovering early-stage founders and supporting their growth. This year, accelerators specialized in responding to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including artificial intelligence (AI), fifth-generation (5G) mobile communications, and blockchain, were recruited, and six organizations, including Commax Ventures, were selected.
