The Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) announced on the 25th that it will provide facility space support for the establishment of the Hanam Startup Campus, with the aim of creating youth jobs and fostering an entrepreneurial environment in Hanam City.
As part of its efforts to expand public participation and contribute to local communities, IBK has completed the construction of its IT center, KDB Digital Square, and has been discussing ways to collaborate with and support Hanam City through its utilization.
IBK will provide a portion of space within KDB Digital Square (587㎡ / 178 pyeong) to Hanam City free of charge. Hanam City plans to establish a startup campus in this space and attract and nurture startups related to the creation of a healthy city.
A total of 10 companies, including Atoplex, MedInTech, and MLP, are scheduled to move into the Startup Campus. Tenant companies will be provided with office space, co-working offices, networking areas, and lounge facilities.
An official from IBK stated, “Supporting the establishment of the Hanam Startup Campus is meaningful in that it promotes entrepreneurship and startup activities in connection with the local community,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen collaboration with local communities to create youth jobs and foster a supportive startup ecosystem.”
