The exhibition will feature 350 companies across 720 booths and will be held in the East and West Halls of EXCO.

The event will showcase the latest trends across the entire medical industry, ranging from medical imaging and measurement devices, rehabilitation medicine, healthcare, dentistry, and surgical medical devices, to medical information systems, smart healthcare technologies, medical devices, senior-friendly products, and health foods and supplies.

This year’s exhibition will see participation from major companies introducing innovative equipment and technologies, including Siemens Healthineers, which possesses advanced imaging diagnostic technologies; DK Medical Solutions, a provider of medical equipment solutions used in diagnostic imaging; Samsung Medison, Korea’s largest ultrasound diagnostic device specialist; MedInTech, which holds core technologies for flexible endoscopy; and Osstem Implant, a comprehensive dental solution provider.

Regional companies will also present outstanding technologies. These include KOTRAS, which provides comprehensive rehabilitation medical services from physical rehabilitation to cognitive rehabilitation, and Taejoon Medical, a Daegu-based medical equipment company supplying operating room and neonatal intensive care equipment as well as specialized obstetrics and gynecology devices.

In addition, medical-related institutions such as the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation, Wonju Medical Device Techno Valley, Osong Advanced Medical Industry Foundation, Daegu Techno Park, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and Incheon Techno Park will participate to introduce the competitiveness and future value of the K-medical industry.

A Digital Healthcare Special Pavilion has also been newly established this year to strengthen the healthcare sector, one of Daegu City’s five future strategic industries, showcasing advanced technology convergence and solutions in medical devices.

The special pavilion, featuring 13 participating companies, will present the latest technological trends such as AI-based cancer diagnostic software, brain disease analysis, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation treatment solutions.

MEDI EXPO KOREA, as a medical industry-focused exhibition led by local governments, medical organizations, and medical support institutions, will host a variety of side events to share the future value of the K-medical industry.

On the 21st, an export consultation meeting with overseas buyers will be held to support Korean medical companies in securing overseas markets.

EXCO and KOTRA will jointly invite buyers from 18 countries with strong purchasing power and organize one-on-one consultations with participating companies. A procurement consultation meeting, expected to include 23 hospitals and public health centers, will take place on the 23rd.

Notably, this year will introduce a new procurement consultation meeting for nursing executives. Hosted directly by Daegu City, the Daegu Nurses Association, and EXCO, the event will arrange one-on-one matching between nursing executives in the Daegu region and participating companies, providing a valuable platform for interaction between diverse demand and supply stakeholders.

On the 21st, the exhibition will debut an IR program for medical devices and bio-healthcare, inviting venture capital (VC) professionals. Representatives from Samsung Venture Investment, BNK Venture Investment, Daekyo Investment, Synergy IB Investment, and Kakao Ventures will meet companies in person to support investment opportunities. Outstanding participating companies will receive a total of KRW 4 million in prize money.

During the exhibition period, academic conferences hosted by regional medical associations—including the Daegu Medical Association, Dental Association, Pharmaceutical Association, Nurses Association, Physical Therapists Association, Radiological Technologists Association, Clinical Pathologists Association, and the Korean Society of Biomedical Engineering—will be held concurrently. Medical organization seminars will be expanded by 12% compared to last year, with more than 6,000 medical professionals expected to visit EXCO.

Government and related institutional events will also take place, including the KOAMEX Job Fair 2024 hosted by the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Medical Innovation Foundation (K-MEDI Hub), a medical device policy briefing organized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and a digital healthcare seminar by the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.

Additional programs will be available for general visitors, including blood type testing experiences led by clinical pathologists and hands-on booths in a diabetes special pavilion, offering opportunities to gain the latest medical information while promoting health awareness.

The exhibition will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and further details can be found on the official website.
